The Woodhaven section of Queens is the backdrop for this edition of Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers. In this middle-neighborhood a group of scoundrels robbed a teenager of his sneakers and other belongings as he walked down the street.
According to police, the knifepoint robbery occurred September 3 at approximately 3:15 am near the corner of 85th Avenue and 96 Street.
According to sources, the three males approached the youngster as we was on his way home. One of them pulled out a knife and demanded the teen’s property. They subsequently removed the 17-year-old Nikes right off his feet, and also took an iPhone and a backpack. The victim suffered no physical injuries.
The 102nd Precinct Police, from the where the responding officers came, posted photos of the alleged robbers on their Twitter account.
