In the July 4, 2018 of Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers, we brought you the story of 18-year-old Angel L. Carrasquillo of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania who was charged with multiple criminal charges after being arrested in conjunction with the theft of $1,000 worth of sneakers from a residence.
Carrasquillo admitted last week that he was responsible for the theft and ultimately pled guilty in Northampton County Court to a single felony count of burglary ( he was originally charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal trespassing and misdemeanor counts of theft and receiving stolen property). Carrasquillo also admitted that he planned on selling the sneakers. Judge Paula Roscioli sentenced Carrasquillo to 9 to 23 months in jail; the other charges , criminal trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property , were withdrawn by prosecutors.
