The obsidian and sail Air Jordan 1 is one of a myriad of colorways that will see a retail debut over the course of this year and into 2020( and seemingly into perpetuity). The sail portions of the upper are overlaid by sections of obsidian and university blue leather. Obsidian swooshes adorn the medial and lateral sides of the shoe, while university blue makes up the “NIKE AIR” and swoosh on the tongue label. This Air Jordan 1 will be part of the brand’s Defiant series. The white base of the upper is overlaid by black leather. Red stitching is featured on the upper, including the incomplete Swoosh logo on the lateral side and surrounding the Wings logo. The medial side on the left sports a complete tour yellow Swoosh logo. The continuing relationship between Travis Scott and and Jordan Brand adds another chapter with this Air Jordan 1 Low that will be releasing later this fall. It features a black base upper overlaid by dark brown suede. On the lateral sides, the large white backwards Swoosh is hard to miss. The shoe you see depicted is, in the sneaker world, colloquially known as the “Chicago” Air Jordan 1. It originally released way back in 1985, it has since seen returns in 1994, 2013, and 2015. This upcoming Air Jordan 1 High is quite similar to the Air Jordan 1 made for rock band Shinedown and their friends and family in 2018. Like that exclusive shoe this Air Jordan 1 is color blocked in the style of the so called “bred toe” , but the key areas are yellow rather than red. The “Obsidian” Air Jordan 1 was just one of the never-ending stream of that silhouette that, for some reason, Jordan Brand will never turn the proverbial faucet on. This Air Jordan 1, which is nearly just a leather version of the “Blue Chill” Air Jordan 1’s that released back in February, but features sail on the upper instead of white.
