Images of a “new” colorway of the Air Jordan 12 have come to light. In a very familiar visual package it sports a nubuck obsidian upper with metallic-looking detailing on the upper two lace loops. On the rear tag is “JORDAN” and “QUALITY INSPIRED BY THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER” in white below a dark blue Jumpman. The aesthetic is completed by a blue midsole and white rubber outsole. As has been previously reported here, the “University Gold” Air Jordan 12 is a new colorway that is set to release later this year. With its black leather upper and university gold mudguards, accenting, midsole and outsole, it bears more than a passing resemblance to the PEs Gary Payton wore during his lone season with the Los Angeles Lakes in the 2003-04 season. It appears that 2021 will see the return of the Air Jordan 12 Low. One of the upcoming pairs will utilize a black, metallic gold and varsity red color palette. This Air Jordan 12 will be part of Jordan Brand’s 2019 holiday roster. With its white leather upper and grey overlays it bears more than a striking resemblance to 2003’s “Flint Grey” version of the same shoe. “Reverse Taxi” Air Jordan 12 dropping on Halloween

Although they have been dubbed “Reverse Taxi” this upcoming Air Jordan bears a striking resemblance to the “Neoprene” Air Jordan 12 from 2016. It shares similar (practically identical) color blocking to the “Neoprene”, with this shoe sporting a nubuck and leather upper, instead of Neoprene. Golden lace eyelets, red tongue branding and gold “TWO3” embroidery on the tongue complete the look of the upper.
