It appears that Jordan Brand is opting to use the Air Jordan 40 as a canvas of homage to previous Jordan models and colour ways as the recently highlighted Air Jordan 4016 is a testament to. Jordan Brand will continue to mesh the 40 with other models with the Air Jordan 4014, the Air Jordan 4020, and the Air Jordan 4028.  The aged 4014 takes the Ferrari colour away from the Air Jordan 14 and brings it to the 40. The classic white and navy color scheme of the Air Jordan XVI inspires this iteration of the Air Jordan XL.  They sport a white leather upper with a version of the XVI‘s removable magnetic gaiter incorporated into the design. Underneath the detachable shroud are navy mesh cutouts, a la the XVI.  A Jumpman is perched atop the navy tongue, while “40” appears on the rear heel.
