Pelicans and Lakers have spoken regarding Anthony Davis

Thursday, the Los Angeles Times’ Brad Turner reported the Lakers presented the Pelicans with five various trade scenarios. One of the proposed deal included Los Angeles sending Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, and first round pick to the Pelicans for their all-world forward/center. Although the other scenarios were not disclosed, Turner adds the Lakers are seeking to get a deal done prior to the NBA’s February 7 trade deadline to avoid the AD sweepstakes opening up to other teams.

The Anthony Davis trade rumors have been swirling about for at least a year. With Lebron James signing with the Lakers and Davis signing with James’ Klutch Sports, there was immediate speculation that it was only a matter of time before the Pelicans’ all-world forward would be donning the purple and gold. Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will miss tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to illness. Jahlil Okafor will start in his place. Today the NBA sent a message to its teams about tampering…..literally.
