North Carolina A&T’s Lewis Walker named CAA Rookie of the Week

North Carolina A&T forward Lewis Walker was the CAA Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.  Walker averaged 20.0 points on 60% shooting from the field and 94.1% from the free-throw line in helping the Aggies split a pair of contests. Against the College of Charleston, Walker scored 16 points on a very efficient 5-9 shooting and 6-7 from the charity stripe. Redshirt freshman Lewis Walker helped the Aggies net a pair of huge wins against Hofstra and Towson, averaging 28.5 points on .593/.700/.947 shooting splits to go along with 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.  In the Aggies’ 79-78 over the Pride, Lewis scored 24 points on 7-12 from the floor, including 2-3 from downtown and a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe.
