NBA officially announces postponement of Wednesday’s playoff games

The NBA announced the postponement of em Wednesday’s playoff games in lieu of the shooting of Jacob Blake. A release from the Association: NEW YORK — The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association today announced that in light of the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to not take the floor today for Game 5 against the Orlando Magic, today’s three games – Bucks vs. Magic, Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers – have been postponed.  Game 5 of each series will be rescheduled.

Bucks have not taken the floor for game 5

Damian Lillard likely out for a potential game 6

Should the Portland Trail Blazers manage your defeat the Los Angeles Lakers Wednesday night in game 5 of their opening round playoff series, they would likely head into a game 6 still without Damian Lillard, according to Chris Haynes OG Yahoo Sports. Lillard left in the third quarter of game 4 with the apparent knee injury. After a MRI on Monday was inconclusive, a second one Tuesday revealed the injury.

Damian Lillard out for Game 5

An already daunting task has been made even more difficult as the Portland Trail Blazers will be with out their best player as they fight to continue their season in game 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Damian Lillard had an initial MRI on Monday that came back inconclusive but a subsequent on Tuesday confirmed the strain on the right knee. Lillard apparently suffered the injury in the third quarter game 4 when he planted the leg while attacking the basket.
