According to Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic, Chris Paul will sit out the Rockets game against the Phoenix Suns Friday night for rest. Danuel House will get the start in his spot.

Anthony Davis out against Portland

New Orleans Pelican forward (for the time being) Anthony Davis, will not suit up for the team’s game Friday night against the Portland TrailBlazers for rest, according to the ballclub. Davis’ minutes has been reduced since they were unable to find a suitable deal for him prior to this year’s trade deadline.

Dennis Smith Jr. out versus Spurs

According to the The Record/north jersey.com’s Chris Iseman, New York Knicks guard Dennis Smith Jr. will miss the team’s game Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs with a sore lower back. In the 17 games since he was acquired in the Kristaps Porzingis trade, Smith has posted averages of 14.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 29.3 minutes per contest.

Marvin Bagley III has been out since going down in the late in the third quarter when he and Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon tangled legs in Sacramento’s 141-140 overtime loss to Milwaukee on February 27. Bagley’s Initial diagnosis called for reevaluation in 1-2 weeks and him being cleared to to resume basketball activities earlier this week and this lines up with that timetable. As reported by The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Golden State Warriors superstar forward Kevin Durant, will not play in the team’s Wednesday game against the Houston Rockets.
