For his on court exploits , Tennessee State guard Aaron Nkrumah was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week. In leading the Tigers to a 2-0 week the senior averaged 27.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals on .588/.833/.600 shooting splits. In the Tigers’ 105-100 overtime win over Morehead State, Nkrumah dropped a season high 30 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists on 12/20 from the floor and 2/3 from downtown.
Nkrumah then chased that performance with a 24 point, 11 rebound effort on 8/14 shooting,
connecting on all 3 of 3 of his attempts from the land of 3, in TSU’s 73-67 win over Southern Indiana.
On the season, the Worcester, Massachusetts native is averaging 16.8 points per game, which is second in the OVC, and his 2.9 steals per game paces the conference and is also fourth in the nation.
This is the third time on the season Nkrumah has garnered Player of the Week honours.
