GAME 5: (10) PEORIA ALL-STARS VS. (23) HERD THAT – 2 PM, ESPN
The Peoria All-Stars return for a third straight year in TBT, this time with a revamped roster filled with newcomers to the single-elimination tournament. Last summer, the All-Stars bowed out in the first round to KBC. Jon Elmore leads Herd That, a Marshall University alumni squad. Elmore, a four-year starter at Marshall who finished his collegiate career as the school’s all-time leader in points, assists and three-pointers made, has one year of TBT experience under his belt, having played for the West Virginia Wildcats last summer.
GAME 6: (11) TEAM HINES VS. (22) SIDELINE CANCER – 4 PM, ESPN
Kyle Hines, the only American to win four EuroLeague titles, led his squad to a semi-final appearance last summer, where Team Hines fell to the Golden Eagles, Marquette’s alumni squad. Hines has rebuilt his team for this summer and will count on big scoring numbers from former Wisconsin star Ethan Happ. Sideline Cancermade a Cinderella Run to the Wichita Regional championship last summer, defeating both Kansas and Wichita State alumni teams before falling to the Golden Eagles. Marcus Keene paced the scoring in 2019 for Sideline Cancer, which has participated in every TBT.
GAME 7: (14) HEARTFIRE VS. (19) MEN OF MACKEY – 7 PM, ESPN
Former Baylor standouts Isaiah Austin headlines Team Heartfire. At 7-foot-1, Austin provides the type of length to protect the rim. Big man Isaac Haas and point guard Jon Octeus lead Men of Mackey, the Purdue University alumni squad making its TBT debut.
GAME 8: (15) ARMORED ATHLETE VS. (18) POWER OF THE PAW – 9 PM, ESPN
Armored Athlete returns to TBT for a sixth straight year and hopes to make another deep run after bowing out in the first round last summer. Former Lakers guard Scott Machado headlines a talented group that includes Coty Clarke. Marcquise Reed and Gabe DeVoe lead Power of the Paw, the Clemson alumni making its second TBT appearance.
