Norfolk State def. Howard – 21-20

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State delivered a Homecoming victory to a sold-out crowd at William “Dick” Price Stadium on Saturday afternoon, taking down Howard 21-20 with a gritty performance against the defending MEAC champions.

Kevon King led Norfolk State (3-6, 1-1 MEAC) with 78 rushing yards, scoring the go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Howard (3-5, 0-1) outgained NSU 371-287, but lost the turnover and special teams’ battle.

N.C. Central def. Morgan State – 16-7

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University football team celebrated Homecoming with a 16-7 victory over Morgan State on Saturday at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium, holding the Bears to just over 200 yards of total offense.

The No. 20/21 Eagles (6-2, 2-0 MEAC) have won five straight games.

The Eagles got on the board first when quarterback Walker Harris connected with Markell Quick on a deep pass up the middle for a 49-yard touchdown to take a 7-0 lead. That play, at the 7:06 mark of the second quarter, capped a 4-play, 76-yard drive.

S.C. State def. Delaware State – 69-35

ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Bulldogs dominated the Hornets 69-35 on homecoming improving to 5-2 and 1-0 in MEAC play.

S.C. State amassed 477 passing yards with five TDs en route to the victory.
