According to federal officials, 11 men have been charged in connection with the theft of approximately $440,000 worth of Nike sneakers in January 2025 from a freight train traveling through northern Arizona. Federal prosecutors allege the suspects deliberately cut an air brake hose on a BNSF Railway train, forcing it to come to a stop near Perrin, Arizona.
