The “Peari” Foamposite Pro is set to make its return after 15 years on the sidelines.
A new set of detailed images have emerged and they have been met with mixed reviews.
One user waun_804 expressed his disappointment saying “They should have stuck with the last shade of pearl. This one is too light. Smh, pass for me!”
Another commenter, alfa285386 expressed a similar sentiment, saying simply, “These don’t look like the OGs.”
Others were happy to see the classic sneaker return, with her willywonkworld commenting, “ I’m glad Nike is just releasing these, y’all can debate about the right colors of whatever” and josh_retro saying that the “Pearls” were a “Must cop”
They sport a foamposite upper that is not quite the white of the original 1997 release or even the “Class of 97” pack and not the pearl white of the 2010 release. A large black jeweled Swoosh takes its place on the lateral side, with smaller embroidered white branding on the forefoot.
Black nubuck shows up on the eyebrows, with another Swoosh present on the rear heel.
The front pull tab sports red stripes, while “FOAMPOSITE” appears on the rear pull tab.
Underneath the upper above resides a translucent rubber outsole that appears to be pre yellowed at both the the and heel.
According to zsneakerheadz, the “Pearl” Foamposite Pro is expected tp make its latest return December 5.
