USA Basketball is gearing up for another important step toward the 2027 FIBA Menโs World Cup, officially announcing its 12-man roster for the August 2026 World Cup Qualifying Window 4.
The Americans will play two games during the window, traveling to Chile on August 27 before returning home to face Colombia on August 31.
The roster features a mix of NBA, NBA G League and international experience, with eight of the 12 players having previous USA Basketball experience.

- Garrison Brooks
- Darius Brown
- Kevon Harris
- Mike James
- DeJon Jarreau
- Dillon Jones

- Tyler Smith
- Cole Swider
Four players โ Pedro Bradshaw, Kevon Harris, Mike James and Orlando Robinson โ were also part of the USAโs July qualifying team, which went 2-0 on the road against the Dominican Republic and Mexico. (NBA.comโ )

The August roster will feature four players making their first appearance for USA Basketball:
Jaron Blossomgame, Darius Brown, DeJon Jarreau and Dillon Jones.
Meanwhile, Garrison Brooks returns after participating in Window 1 of the 2027 World Cup qualifying campaign.
James Nunnally previously represented the United States during 2021 FIBA AmeriCup Qualifying, while Cole Swider returns to USA Basketball for the first time since playing in the 2018 Nike Hoop Summit.
Tyler Smith previously participated in the 2022 USA Menโs Junior National Team October minicamp. (NBA.comโ )
๐ Terry Stotts to Lead Team USA
Former NBA head coach Terry Stotts will serve as head coach for the August qualifying team, marking his first coaching assignment with USA Basketball.
Heโll be joined by assistants Clay Moser and Marlon Garnett, who have been part of the coaching staff during the first three qualifying windows.
Jonathan Yim will make his USA Basketball debut as a scout. (NBA.comโ )

USA Basketball will hold training camp in Miami from August 20-24 before traveling to Chile.

๐ Road to the 2027 FIBA World Cup
The United States enters the second round of qualifying with a 5-1 record after the first three windows.
The Americans currently sit second in Group E, behind undefeated Brazil (6-0) and ahead of the Dominican Republic (4-2), Mexico (3-3), Colombia (3-3) and Chile (2-4). (NBA.comโ )
After Windows 4-6, the top three teams in Group E, along with the best fourth-place team from Group E or Group F, will qualify for the 2027 FIBA Menโs World Cup in Doha, Qatar.
The United States has historically performed well under the current qualifying format, posting a 24-6 record since the format began ahead of the 2019 World Cup. The U.S. also finished atop its qualifying group for both the 2019 and 2023 World Cups. (NBA.comโ )
