Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd have revealed that their romantic relationship has come to an end, but the two Dallas Wings teammates insist their friendship and professional relationship remain intact.
The former UConn teammates addressed their relationship during the latest episode of Fudd’s Fudd Around and Find Out podcast, where they confirmed they are no longer together.
According to the pair, the breakup actually happened more than a year ago, putting an end to speculation surrounding their relationship status.
Bueckers also addressed speculation that Fudd’s relationship with her played a role in the Dallas Wings selecting Fudd with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
Bueckers made it clear that Fudd earned her draft selection because of her basketball ability and talent, not their personal relationship, as their split occurred prior to Fudd being drafted.
“She was not drafted because she was my girlfriend. She was drafted she deserved it and she’s an maxing human, amazing basketball player and we’re still friends. We’re still cool.
The two emphasized that there is no animosity between them and that they continue to support one another.
“We’re still going to be great friends. We’re still going to be great teammates,” was the message they wanted fans to understand.
Bueckers and Fudd previously shared the court at UConn, helping the Huskies capture the 2025 NCAA national championship before eventually reuniting in Dallas.
Although their romantic relationship has ended, their basketball partnership continues.
Both players also made it clear that they have addressed what they wanted to share publicly and intend to keep the remaining details of their personal lives private.
The relationship may be over, but the friendship and teammate connection remain.
