The Albany State University Men’s and Women’s basketball teams both are hitting the road for pair games over the next several days.
ASU is heading to Columbia, SC to take on the Tigers of Benedict on Thursday. They will follow that up with a game against Allen University on February 19. Both teams will have their work cut out for them, as the men are 18-5 and the women are 18-7. When the teams met on the January 17, the Lady Rams were victorious 69-63, while the Golden Rams tasted defeat, 86-77.
Their Saturday opponent , the Yellow Jackets of Allen University are 6-17 on the men’s side, while the women hold a 6-16 record. When the two schools met on January 15, the Golden Rams defeated the Yellow Jackets 79-42 and the ASU women, defeated Allen in a closer contest, 49-47.
The Golden Rams Men’s team has a record of 9-16 and 6-8 in the SIAC, which is good for fourth in the SIAC Eastern division.
The Lady Rams are 8-16 overall and are third in the conference’s Eastern Division with a 6-8 record.
