The Albany State University men’s basketball program and head coach Patrick Gayleare proud to announce the signing of the 2025-26 recruiting class. This year’s class brings a mix of experience, size, and talent to the Golden Rams, with four transfer student-athletes and one incoming freshman set to make an immediate impact on the hardwood.

Headlining the class is Zachary Reinhart, a 6’6 senior guard from Orlando, Florida, who joins the Golden Rams after competing at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Reinhart’s versatility as a scorer and ability to defend multiple positions will add depth to the Golden Rams’ backcourt and wing rotation.

Jeremiah Edwards, a 6’4 junior guard from Stockbridge, Georgia, arrives from Kankakee Community College, where he showcased strong offensive ability and floor leadership. Edwards is expected to bring athleticism and a scoring presence to the Albany State backcourt.

Adding youthful energy to the roster, Sterling Moody, a 6’6 guard and freshman from Jacksonville, Florida, will join the Golden Rams from Impact Christian Academy. Moody is known for his length and two-way potential, providing both scoring ability and defensive intensity as he begins his collegiate career.

Michael Walker, a 6’8 junior forward from Brooklyn, New York, transfers to Albany State from the University of Albany. Walker’s size and rebounding presence will help anchor the paint for the Golden Rams, giving the team an interior boost both offensively and defensively.

Rounding out the class is Joseph Frazier, a 6’3 senior guard from Leesburg, Georgia, who transfers from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Frazier’s experience and consistency as a perimeter scorer will make him an immediate contributor to the Golden Rams’ offensive attack.

Head coach Patrick Gayle expressed excitement about the incoming class, noting the balance of experience and youthful talent that will elevate the program’s competitiveness.

“We are thrilled to welcome this talented group of young men to the Golden Rams family,” said Gayle. “Coach White has done a tremendous job in this recruiting class. We attempted to build on last year’s recruiting class to construct a skilled and versatile roster.”

The Golden Rams will open the 2025-26 season on November 14 in Wilberforce, Ohio, at the SIAC/GSC Challenge. With a mix of returning talent and this strong incoming class, Albany State looks forward to building on its tradition of success and making a deep run in the upcoming season.
