The Albany State Golden Rams and the Agnes Scott College Scotties would split on Saturday when the teams played a doubleheader at the ASU West Campus Softball Complex. With the split, the Golden Rams are now (2-4) overall to start the season.
In game 1, the Golden Rams were beaten (1-13) with Kaliyah Smith picking up her first loss of the season.
In game 2, The Golden Rams would come back to life as the Goldens Rams would defeat the Scotties (8-0) with Romona Mcleod up her first win of the season.
The Golden Rams would start the action in the 3rdinning Raven Dunham and Madison Hurt making the score (2-0). The scoring would continue in the 5th with a home run by Kady Ayers which would add two more runs to the Rams total and make it (4-0). The Goldens Rams would finish the game in the 6thinning by scoring 4 more runs to gain the victory (8-0).
The Golden Rams will be on the road as the head to the CIAA/SIAC Challenge where they will play 6 matches over three days which will run from February 16-18 in Spartanburg, SC at Tyger River Park.
