Jackson was one of the most productive hitters in the conference this season, leading the OVC with a .415 batting average while finishing among league leaders in on-base percentage and slugging. Director of Sports Communications The Norfolk State softball team announces changes to its games in the Winthrop Tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Norfolk State will play two games on Friday and two on Saturday in Rock Hill, S.C. at Winthrop University. Friday’s first game begins at 12:30 p.m. against Presbyterian, with a game at 3 p.m. against Winthrop following. On Saturday, Norfolk will play Presbyterian again, but at 10 a.m., before finishing out against Western Carolina at 12:30 p.m.

Norfolk State softball announces postponement of weekend doubleheaders

Due to the inclement weather that is bearing down on the eastern portion of the country, Norfolk State softball has postponed a pair of upcoming home double headers. The Spartans’ doubleheader against Mount St. Mary’s has been pushed back to Sunday, February 23 at 2pm EST. Their twin tilt against St. Bonaventure will now be played on Monday, February 24 at 12 p.m. EST. The first pitch of each of the second games will take place approximately half an hour after the conclusion of the first contest.
