Grambling softball’s Cadashia Collins and Dacia Richard garner All-SWAC honors

Cadashia Collins was named the SWAC Freshman of the Year and landed on the first team, while pitcher Dacia Richardnabbed second-team honors. Collins, a freshman shortstop from Chattanooga, Tenn., had a breakout season and was one of the key contributors for Grambling State’s offense as a true freshman. Lane’s Millay Lambert headlines the all-conference team after being selected as the 2023 SIAC Player of the Year and Utility Player of the Year. The Albany State University softball team finished the season with a 5-14 overall record and 16-6 within the SIAC. Albany State siftball to host arch-rival Fort Valley State

This weekend Albany State softball ( 21-13, 14-5) will host Fort Valley State ( 15-18, 9-9) in a three-game series. Saturday the two squads will square off in a doubleheader, with the first pitch scheduled for 2 pm EST. Sunday’s action will commence at 1 PM EST.
