Albany State softball sweeps Savannah State

The Albany State Golden Rams softball team swept the Savannah State Tigers by winning (7-3) on Monday afternoon at the ASU West Campus.  The Golden Rams improved to 22-3 while the Tigers fell to 3-12 overall.
 
The Golden Rams got on the board in the 2nd inning when Ciweya Tennison was walked with the bases loaded.  Glory Seay scored another run in the 2ndinning when Madison Hurt bunted to the pitcher.
 
The Golden Rams scored anther run in the 5th inning when Morgan Brown singled to center field to score Madison Hurt.  Glory Seay also singled to center field to score Keyatta Ayers.
 
Sydney Pettus delivered the final blow when she homered in the bottom of the 6th inning to increase the Golden rams lead to 5 runs.
 
Romona McLeod was the winning pitcher for the Golden Rams.  McLeod improved to 3-1 on the season.   
 
The Golden Rams will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to play Clark-Atlanta on March 26-27.
