Albany State softball to take on Fort Valley State

The Golden Rams softball team will travel to Fort Valley, Georgia to play the Fort Valley State University Wildcats, on April 9-10.  The first pitch is scheduled at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 9.

The Golden Rams are 28-3 (12-1 in the SIAC) while the Wildcats are 9-21 (2-10 in the SIAC).  The Albany State University Golden Rams softball team has won 14 straight games while the Wildcats have lost 6 games in a row.  The Golden Rams and Wildcats last played on April 25, 2021.  On that day, the Wildcats shut out the Golden Rams (7-0).

Tiana McFarland is leading the Golden Rams with a .647 batting average.  Madison Hurt is leading the Golden Rams with 47 hits on the season.  Keyatta Ayers has 43 hits.  Sydney Pettus lead the Golden Rams with 9 homeruns and 34 RBIs.  Glory Seay is 2nd with 4 homeruns.

As of April 5, 2022, the Golden Rams were leading Division II with a team batting average of .403.
