The Albany State University track & field program is set to host its first meet of the 2021 outdoor season this Saturday, as the Golden Rams host 10 schools for the Alice Coachman Invitational.
Albany State University will welcome Brewton-Parker, Fort Valley State University, Vorhees, Columbus State University (W), Clayton State University, Tallahassee Community College, Shorter University, Life University (W), Talladega College and Wesleyan College to Robert Cross Track & Field Complex on Saturday, April 3rd.
Start Times
The men’s hammer throw will begin at 10:00 a.m. Women will follow immediately after the men’s hammer throw. All other field events will begin at 12:00 p.m. All running events will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Meet Format
- NCAA rules apply to all events
– Running Events: Sections based on time.
– Field Events: Field events will be limited to four attempts
High Jump and Pole Vault starting heights determined by the Head Field Official based on entries. .
– Timing: Finish Lynx Fully Automatic system.
– Results: Final Results will be available on TFRRS within 24hrs after the conclusion of the meet.
COVID PROTOCOLS
Current NCAA COVID 19 protocol will be used as the guide for this meet. All teams participating in the meet must provide a COVIDtest clearance roster for the entire travel party by 4:00pm April 2, 2021. The clearance must be signed by the Athletic Director (or designate). Testing must take place between the dates of March 31-April 2, to satisfy ASU’s requirements to participate. ASU will provide the clearance roster form via e-mail to all registered teams.
Mask and temperature checks are required prior to the initial venue entry. We will provide direction to team spaces within the venue. All individuals MUST wear a mask at ALL TIMES. The only exception is during actual competition when on runway, in ring, or on track. Everyone, including athletes, must wear masks in the seating areas. Please maintain 6′ social distance from all individuals outside of your team bubble. Officials and volunteers will be wearing masks at all times. NO OUTSIDE SPECTATORS will be allowed to attend the meet.
