Albany State women’s hoops beat down by Georgia Southwestern

The Golden Rams women’s basketball team fell to (1-10) overall and (0-3) at home after being defeated (68-48) by the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes at the ASU West Campus Arena on Monday evening.  With the win, the Hurricanes improved to (6-1) overall and (3-0) on the road. 
 
The Golden Rams were 21-52 from the field and shot 23.5% from the 3 point line.  But, the Golden Rams only attempted 2 free throws in the game.
 
Keyra Peterson was the only Golden Rams player to score in double figures.  Peterson led the Golden Rams with 18 points and 5 rebounds.
 
As a team, the Hurricanes shot 47.3% from the field, 34.5% from the 3-point line and 54.5% from the free throw line.
 
Jashanti Simmons led the Hurricanes with 18 points and 9 rebounds.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action against Central State University on Community Day at 1:00 pm at the ASU West Campus Arena on Saturday, December 16.
