Aron Baynes is the latest player to test positive for the coronavirus.
The Phoenix Suns center confirmed to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, also telling him that he is optimistic on joining his teammates in Orlando but has not picked up a ball in over a month.
Per the NBA’s protocols, once arriving in Orlando, players will have to remain in quarantine/isolated before two negative COVID-19 test over a period of more than 24 hours. Meaning Baynes could be weeks behind his teammates, in terms of being ready to play.
Prior to the suspension of the season, Baynes was enjoying a career-year; through 42 games he was averaging 11.5 points and 5.6 rebounds , knocking down 35.1% of this three pointers while playing a career-high 22.2 minutes a night.
