Howard forward Bryce Harris earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Norfolk State guard My’kel Jenkins was selected as Rookie of the Week. Fourth quarter points from Morgan State sinks Norfolk State, 35-28

Albany State defeats Benedict 22-16 to claim SIAC crown

Early on it appeared that this matchup was on the way to mirroring their meeting earlier in the season in which Albany Star came away with a dominant 31-3 win. However Benedict battled back in the second half to make things interesting but ultimately the Golden Rams managed to hang on for a 22-16 win. Turnovers and a lackluster offensive performance proved to be Tennessee State’s undoing as TSU fell at home to Gardner-Webb 30-14.
