Tennessee State defensive back Darius Harper was named Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The senior had his fingerprints all over the Tigers’ 22-14 win over Texas A&M Commerce. What he accomplished in just the first half alone, would have been enough to garner Harper the weekly DPOY honours. Harper had an interception on the first play from scrimmage, which he returned 28 yards for a touchdown. Saturday Eddie George and the Tigers of Tennessee State University seek to end this uneven season with a win when they face Texas A&M Commerce.
