DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – O’Mariyah Tucker posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds in Bethune-Cookman’s 63-60 setback to Georgia Southern Tuesday evening in Moore Gym.

Tucker’s three-pointer with 1:23 remaining gave B-CU (0-4) a 57-56 lead.

Georgia Southern scored the next five points, all on Terren Ward free throws, to take a 61-57 lead.

Chanel Wilson sank a three-pointer to bring B-CU back to 61-60 with two seconds left, but Ward hit two more free throws to ice the game.

Wilson finished with 12 points.

D’Shantae Edwards had nine points and five rebounds. Kayla Clark had seven points and rebounds.

Morgan Beacham and Tahissa Dossous scored six apiece.

B-CU trailed 44-34, but rallied to take a 47-46 lead on Tucker’s layup with seven minutes to play.

The Wildcats return to action Sunday at Jacksonville at 1 p.m.
