It was reported last week that the major sneaker brands expressed no interest in the deal LaVar Ball pitched to them in that they would have to license his Big Baller Brand.
“We said from the beginning, we aren’t looking for an endorsement deal, Mr. Ball said. ‘We’re looking for co-branding, a true partner. But they’re not ready for that because they’re not used to that model. But het, the taxi industry wasn’t ready for Uber either.”

Undeterred by those meetings, today LaVar Ball’s Big Baller Brand unveiled the ZO2 Prime sneaker designed for his son, UCLA star point guard Lonzo Ball. The sneaker features a black upper dressed in what the company terms a “microfiber python texture” with a “Delorean finish.” The black patent heel wrap carries the Big Baller branding on the lateral side and a white and yellow “ZO” logo on the rear. The tongue also has the Brand logo. The look of this shoe is completed by a black midsole and a clear outsole.
The ZO2 prime is listed on the Big Baller Brand website for $495 (yes, you read that right), with an autographed pair in the “Wet” colorway for a whopping $995.
