”Black Toe” Air Jordan XIV coming November 2024

After being in the vault for over a decade, the “Black Toe” Air Jordan XIV is primed to make its latest retail return. Although these were the model that Michael Jordan wore when he hit the iconic game-winning shot in the 1998 Finals to secure the Bulls’ sixth NBA Championship, he did wear the “Black Toe” in the opening segment of the 2000 film Micheal Jordan To The Max.

Initial images have emerged and they appear to be a fairly faithful recreation of its 1998 progenitor. It sports an asymmetrical design, as the lateral side is collared lower to accommodate for the lateral malleolus (ankle bone) and features a white leather upper with black suede at the toe. The same black suede also shows up at the perforated tongue. On the rear heel “23” can be seen, which sits below one of the seven Jumpmen that occupy the upper; their locations are the lace aglets ( 1, 2 ), rear heel (3), the Ferrari-styled logo on the lateral side (4), the suede toe (5), insole (6), outsole (7). combining the total from the two sneakers gives the sum of 14 or XIV.
