Andrew Bogut’s basketball future will not include wearing a Sydney Kings, or any other jersey, at least for the time being.
Bogut, the 2019 NBL MVP, took to Twitter to explain his current status:
Bogut says he is not hanging up his sneakers but has opted against locking himself into a deal at the current time as he surveys the current basketball environment, saying “This by no means is a retirement note, but simply saying any concrete decisions are too hard to be made at this point in time.”
Though he is 35, if and when the former no.1 pick in the 2005 NBA draft Bogus decides to keep playing, the Kings, and likely several other NBL teams and possibly some NBA clubs, will be vying for his services.
