Earlier today the Los Angeles Lakers made the announcement that forward Brandon Ingram will be out for the remainder of this season following him being diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) in his right arm.
Though DVT may not be a commonly known medical issue, that in no way detracts from its potential severity.
This injury ends what was a solid campaign numberwise for Ingram, as he averaged 18.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists , but was a frustrating season as a whole for the Los Angeles Lakers, as it appears the postseason is now out of reach.
If treatment goes well, Ingram should be ready to go heading in to training camp next season but a lingering question is will it be for the Lakers or for another ball club, as his name has been not so surreptitiously floated in numerous trade rumours.
