Reina Castillo and Kristian Holder combined to toss a shutout on Sunday as Tennessee State softball team blanked Buffalo 4-0 to conclude the Wofford Invitational.

Castillo (2-3) started and picked up the win for Tennessee State (8-6), going seven shutout innings while giving up two hits, walking none, and striking out two.

Offensively, the Tigers were paced by Hailey Hunt, who went 1-for-1 on the day with a triple. Onnika Spencercompiled a standout day at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. JaKeyla McDaniel also contributed for Tennessee State, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Tigers took the lead for good in the third, scoring for the first time in the inning. Tennessee State managed to push across two runs in the inning.

The Tigers also added runs in the fifth and sixth innings on the way to the 4-0 victory.
