ELIZABETH CITY, NC (Dec. 3,2018) – Claflin University guard Ashley Fields tossed in a buzzer-beating desperation jumper as Elizabeth City State lost its CIAA opener, 47-45, in the Robert L. Vaughan Center. by Panthers Sports Information Department : Richmond, VA- Virginia Union University’s football team has moved up to being ranked second in the nation in Dr. Henry Cavil’s HBCU Mid-Major Division Football Poll, released on Wednesday, October 10. Langston University is ranked #1 with a 5-1 record while VUU is second with an identical 5-1 record.
