For MEAC men’s basketball teams Wednesday it was a collective trip to the woodshed, as not a single team from the conference registered a win. Losses ranged from Morgan State’s 7-point fall to Mount St. Mary’s to the 62-point thrashing Illinois laid on North Carolina A&T. FAMU Women’s Hoops Opts out of 2020-21

From Florida A&M Sports Information: TALLAHASSEE| The Florida A&M University (FAMU) women’s basketball team will not compete this 2020-21 season due to concerns with COVID-19.  The NCAA directed all member schools to provide student-athletes with an option to “opt-out” of competition this year due to concerns of the virus. From the MEAC: NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 29, 2020 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will not hold its Cross Country Championships for the 2020-21 academic year, as the conference’s other fall sports will be competed in the spring of 2021. The conference consulted its head cross country coaches and student-athletes, and they were in favor of cancellation. The league’s athletic directors and the Championship Administrative Committee also approved of the move. The championships were originally scheduled for Oct. 30 before the MEAC suspended fall sports in July due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Isaac coached at Bethune-Cookman from 1996-2002 and 2004-07, overseeing the wide receivers.
