Tennessee State band director placed on leave as University launches investigation

Dr. Reginald McDonald (via Tennessee State University ) As reported by The Tennesseean, the director of Tennessee State’s Aristocrat of Bands, Dr. Reginald McDonald was placed on paid administrative leave after an internal audit revealed a “lack of compliance with TSU policies and procedures”, said Tennessee State interim president Dwayne Tucker in a news release on Thursday.  “This decision concerns outstanding travel requisitions and advances and related lack of compliance with TSU policies and procedures,” Tucker said in the release. “Dr. McDonald will be on administrative leave with full pay…

Norfolk State graduate guard Diamond Johnson was named the BOXTOROW National HBCU Player of the Week.  Johnson helped lead the Lady Spartans to a 94-54 win over Delaware State in which she put in 28 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists.
