A 51-point donkey kicking could only happen to the Clippers

Extremely lopsided defeats are often seen in high school basketball and even college basketball but it is rare to see an nba game where the preseason broadcast lasts longer than the competitive portion of the game itself. Unfortunately for basketball and/or Clippers fans, this was the for their game , and I use that term very loosely. The Clippers were absolutely laid waste to by the Dallas Mavericks 124-73 in a matchup that was settled pretty early on. The Clippers never lead in the ball game and the 4-2 deficit…

Christmas Day NBA takeaways: The Warriors could already be in trouble they cannot get out of

Milwaukee 138, Golden State 99 Another nationally televised game, another trip to the woodshed for the Golden State Warriors. After getting smacked around 125-99 by the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors chased that by taking a 138-99 shellacking courtesy the Milwaukee Bucks. Just two games in and there some glaring problems for this team. First, they cannot throw the ball in the ocean through the first two games. Against Brooklyn they were ,as a team, connecting on just 37.4% from the floor, including 10-33 from three-point land. They actually shot…

Boston Celtics championship player and coach K.C. Jones transitions at 88

The rat bastard that is the year 2020 could not even take Christmas Day off to cease in the calamity it has wrought. It claimed another sports luminary, this time highly decorated Boston Celtics player and then coach, KC Jones. The Celtics released this statement surrounding this sad news: Where K.C. Jones went, winning was sure to follow. K.C. – his given name – was a twelve-time NBA champion as player and coach, a two-time NCAA champion, and a Gold medal-winning Olympian and Hall of Famer. In NBA history, only…

Warriors will be without Draymond Green for second straight game.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green will miss his second consecutive game due to a foot injury. Though Green was a full participant in the team’s practice Wednesday following the opening night keister-kicking the Nets gave them, head coach Steve Kerr said that he would not play in their Christmas Day game against the Milwaukee Bucks. However Kerr did say that he hoped to him back either for their Sunday game against the Bulls or Tuesday versus the Pistons.

Wednesday’s Rockets and Thunder game postponed

From ESPN: The Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thundergame for Wednesday night has been postponed, the league announced. The NBA said three Rockets players have returned tests that were either positive or inconclusive for coronavirus under the NBA’s testing program. In addition, four other players are quarantined at this time under the contact tracing protocol. Contact tracing protocols caused the Rockets to send home three players Wednesday after rookie teammate Kenyon Martin Jr. returned a positive coronavirus test and needed to be tested again for confirmation, sources told ESPN. John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins and Martin were…

John Wall amongst Houston Rocket players sent home while team traces COVID-19

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, John Wall and s few other Houston Rockets players were sent home Wednesday due to another teammate testing postive. To be clear, Wall himself tested negative , but the tracing stems from rookie Kenyon Martin , Jr, who is “not with the team, self isolating”, per the team’s injury report. It is reported that John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Martin Jr were amongst a group of Rocket players who were at an apartment away from the team facility getttting haircuts. This is apparently what lead…

NBA Opening Night 2021 takeaways

After a mere 72-day offseason the 2020-21 NBA season tipped off Tuesday night. Considering the lack of an actual combine, summer league, and a very truncated training camp, my expectations for the early to mid portion of this season are very low. Nonetheless, here are may takeaways from Tuesday’s on court action. Game 1, Brooklyn Nets 125, Golden State Warriors 99 With the unfortunate injury to Klay Thompson the Warriors went from a potential contender to a playoff question make. Thrown in the absence of Draymond Green , who not…
