Mavs hire Jason Kidd, new coach signs 4-year deal

From Mike Chiari of B/R: The Dallas Mavericks reportedly agreed to make Jason Kidd their new head coach Friday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium. Kristaps Porzingis has right knee surgery

Official release via NBA.com: The Dallas Mavericks announced today that Kristaps Porzingis underwent surgery to address a lateral meniscus injury of his right knee. Porzingis suffered the injury in Game 1 of the Mavericks’ opening-round series against the L.A. Clippers on Aug. 17.
