The NBA announced it handed down a $25,000 fine to Houston Rockets forward due to Brooks, extra-ciricular on court antics. With less than seven and a half minutes left in the first quarter of the Rockets’ October 10 preseason game against the Indiana Pacers, Brooks whacked Pacers’ forward Daniel Theis in the nether region. Brooks was accessed a Flagrant 2 and sent to the showers early. It was Brooks’ preseason debut with the Rockets, with whom he signed a 4-year/$80 million deal this offseason .
