The Hornets broke Steve Clifford off on April 13 after compiling a 196-214 record in five seasons , including a disappointing 36-46 each of the past two years. According to a release from the Golden State Warriors the team’s medical staff re-evaluated Stephen Curry and based on that examination, Curry was cleared to commence participation in what has been termed “modified team practices” as early as Saturday. Hawks HC Budenholzer withdraws from consideration from Suns opening

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Atlanta Hawks’ head coach Mike Budenholzer has removed his name from consideration from the same position with the Phoenix Suns. Budenholzer met with Phoenix Monday and Tuesday and was expected to make a decision this week. With Budenholzer off the table, Phoenix is looking at interim coach Jay Triano, Kevin McHale, David Fizdale, Steve Clifford and Frank Vogel to fill their opening.
