Kawhi Leonard withdraws from Team USA, Derrick White to be replacement

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has withdrawn from the US Olympic team,  USA Basketball announced Wednesday morning, per The Athletic’’s Shams Charania.  Leonard has been dealing with chronic soreness and inflammation for the past few months. Boston Celtics forward Derrick White has been selected to replace Leonard. Kawhi Leonard made his 2024 playoff debut in Game 2 of the Clippers’ opening round series against the Mavericks of Dallas.  On his feet were his upcoming Kawhi IV in a black-based colorway.
