From nba.com: James Harden made a strong first impression in his debut with the Brooklyn Nets. In fact, he made history, becoming the first player to post a 30-point triple-double in a team debut. Harden finished with 32 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds in Brookyln’s 122-115 victory over the Orlando Magic. The 14 assists were a franchise record for a player making his Nets debut. The saga of the now most interesting team in the NBA begins Saturday night. Newly acquired James Harden will be available to make his anticipated debut with the Brooklyn Nets Saturday when they take on the Orlando Magic. This comes as not much of a surprise as it had been stated earlier in the week that if things were finalized Harden could be available to start and play Saturday.

from the NBA: NEW YORK — Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving has been fined $50,000 for violating the league’s Health and Safety Protocols, which among other things prohibit attending indoor social gatherings of 15 or more people or entering bars, lounges, clubs or similar establishments, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations. The violation occurred when he attended a private indoor party last weekend. From the nba: NEW YORK – The National Basketball Association game scheduled for Sat., Jan. 16 between the Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns at Phoenix Suns Arena has been postponed in accordance with the league’s Health and Safety Protocols. Because of ongoing contact tracing within the Suns, the team does not have the league-required eight available players to proceed with Saturday’s game against the Pacers.
