Could Nikola Jokić one day leave the NBA for Europe? That question resurfaced after Panathinaikos owner Dimitrios Giannakopoulos publicly stated that he is “very serious” about pursuing the Denver Nuggets superstar whenever the opportunity presents itself. According to Giannakopoulos, he even approached the Nuggets about the possibility of buying out the final year of Jokić’s contract. The proposal reportedly went nowhere, with Denver rejecting the idea.
