JR Smith and the Cleveland Cavaliers are no more. The team, unable to find a trade, decided to waive the colorful guard, according to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania. Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert hospitalized for stroke symptoms

According to the Detroit News’ Nolan Finley and Kim Kozlowski, Cleveland Cavaliers team owner Dan Gilbert was hospitalized today after experiencing the symptoms of a stroke. Per the National Stroke Association, a stroke occurs “when blood flow to an area of brain is cut off. When this happens, brain cells are deprived of oxygen and begin to die. Michigan’s John Beilein signs 5-year deal to become Cavaliers Head Coach

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Michigan’s head basketball coach John Beilein have agreed on a five-year deal for him to assume the franchise’s head coach vacancy. Beilein has been the Wolverines’ head coach since 2007. In his time he compiled a 278-150 record, including nine trips to the NCAA tournament and two appearances in the title game. Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly trying to set up interview next week with ex-Grizzlies coach J.B. Bickerstaff

After moving on from head coach Larry Drew soon after the 2018-19 season ended, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in need of a new coach. According to The Athletic’s Joe Vardon, the Cavaliers are planning to set up an interview with J.B. Bickerstaff, the former head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. Larry Nance Jr. has sprained MCL

According to Adrain Wojnarowski of ESPN, Cleveland Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr.’s MRI concluded he has a sprained MCL and could be out for two weeks. The injury occurred halfway through the first quarter of the Cavaliers’ 123-115 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Nance was only able to contribute a single point in five minutes. Tristran Thompson out two to four weeks with sprained foot
