Cavaliers Trade Dennis Schröder to Hornets for Tre Mann

The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to trade veteran guard Dennis Schröder and cash considerations to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Tre Mann, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The move gives Cleveland a younger backcourt option in the 25-year-old Mann while also creating additional financial flexibility. Mann, the No. 18 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, has shown flashes of scoring ability during his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Charlotte Hornets.

For the Hornets, the acquisition of Schröder adds an experienced veteran point guard who can provide leadership and stability to a young roster. The 13-year NBA veteran has built a reputation as a dependable playmaker and scorer throughout stops with multiple franchises.

The trade marks another notable roster move for both teams as they continue shaping their lineups ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.
