According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Cleveland Cavaliers are wrapping up a deal that would send center JaVale McGee to the Denver Nuggets. Shortly after this initial tweet, more details surrounding the trade emerged: For McGee this will be a return to the Mile-High City. He was traded there in 2011-12 and spent the next three seasons before being traded to the Sixers during the 2014-15 season. This season McGee is averaging 8.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contests.

According to the Detroit News’ Nolan Finley and Kim Kozlowski, Cleveland Cavaliers team owner Dan Gilbert was hospitalized today after experiencing the symptoms of a stroke. Per the National Stroke Association, a stroke occurs “when blood flow to an area of brain is cut off. When this happens, brain cells are deprived of oxygen and begin to die. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Michigan’s head basketball coach John Beilein have agreed on a five-year deal for him to assume the franchise’s head coach vacancy.
