The apple of the eye of many NBA teams, Cooper Flagg has landed a NIL deal with New Balance.
Flagg said this to ESPN of the deal:
“The connection with New Balance as a family company and a company with Maine roots means a lot to me,” Flagg told ESPN. “That makes this different and special. My mom used to go to the tent sale for back-to-school shopping there when we were kids. That really aligns the brand with my roots. It’s a perfect fit.”
Flagg was the Gatorade National Player of the Year after a senior season at Montverde Academy (FL) in which he posted per-game averages of 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 3.7 steals, and 3.7 blocks.
I The 6-9 forward, who reclassified to enter college a year early, is preparing for his freshman, and presumably only, season at Duke. Flagg’s explosiveness, combined with his array of all-around skills has him firmly atop the draft boards of several NBA teams.
