The Coppin State men’s hoops team hits the road for a Saturday tilt against North Carolina Central. The game was intially scheduled for Monday but was delayed due to COVID-19 protocols. The winner of this game will takeover second place in the MEAC.
Coppin State comes into the game fresh off a 59-57 win over Delaware State on Wednesday night that came via a Nendah Tarke buzzer beater. Tarke ended the night with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Kyle Cardaci also put in 13 points, with Isaiah Goss chipped in nine points.
On the season, Coppin State has three doube figure scorers, Jesse Zarzuela ( 14.6 ppg), Tyree Corbett (14.4 ppg) and Nendah Tarke (13.1 ppg). NC Central boasts two double-figure scorers of their own in Randy Miller Jr (13.2 ppg) and Justin Wright (11.2 ppg). Miller has saved his best for conference play, averaging 19.5 points and shooting 53% from the field in MEAC contests.
