Before he became one of Nike’s staple signature athletes, Kobe Bryant was decked out in the Three Stripes of Adidas, with several signature models to his credit before parting ways with the brand in 2002.
One of those signature sneakers, once known as the KB8, ( which was my first Kobe shoe) is set to make a return later this month. Now officially named the Adidas Crazy 8, this upcoming offering features a core black nubuck upper with Three Stripes branding on both the lateral and medial sides. Additional Adidas branding can be seen on the lateral ankle, tongue , toe and rear heel, with a Feet You Wear logo seen on the lower tongue.
Underneath resides an EVA midsole, Torsion system and a Feet You Wear outsole.
The “Core Black” Adidas Crazy 8 is scheduled to release August 26 at adidas.com and select retail establishments, and I cannot wait.
